Woodcock Farm is a small working farm set on the Cotswold Way

History on your doorstep

The peaceful 36 acres sits on an Iron Age hill fort with links to both the Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods. Atop a west facing escarpment, it comprises a large central meadow, circled by two ring mounds, with the small woodland to the southern edge – perfect for those who enjoy scenic walks, and being immersed in nature.

LUXURY SELF-CATERING

Our accommodation comprises newly renovated and fully-furnished luxury self-contained apartments, each with its own private entrance. The apartments have been designed to provide every home comfort. Completed with beautiful furnishings, contemporary bathrooms, delightfully comfortable beds, a welcoming and relaxing living space and fully-fitted kitchen, we aim to provide an oasis of calm and comfort away from your daily lives.

Timberdoodle Glamping

In our private native woodland, we also offer a fabulous glamping option in our geodesic dome (think Eden project!) This has a comfortable double bed, two futon single beds, a wood burner, barbecue a composting loo, and a crazy hot outdoor shower – as well as the most fantastic views.

Tour the Cotswolds

Nearby are Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester, just 5 mins from J18 of M4, opposite the Badminton Estate.

Farm Life...

On the farm are sheep, pigs, horses, chickens, ducks, geese and guinea fowl. Animal lovers, both young and old, are welcome to be shown around and learn more about rural British farming.

The Cotswold Way National Trail

The trail crosses the property, so we are ideally situated for beautiful walking, and exploring the surrounding towns and cities. However, as the farm is set in a quiet rural location, you will escape the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world.

Things to do

Such a lovely little spot. Quiet and peaceful but because it’s a small farm still great if you’ve got little ones. My 18-month-old loved watching Caroline feed some of the animals in the morning. Family owners could not have been more welcoming. Would highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed at Barn End over the Easter weekend, looking to get away from London after a few stressful weeks at work. Caroline and her family were so welcoming to us, we didn't want to leave after our trip! Barn End was absolutely beautiful and very stylishly decorated.

The Hall at Woodcock Farm is everything you could possibly want in a holiday let. It's in a quiet location but close to many places to visit. We were spoilt for choice. We could not have asked for more and the small touches of milk in the fridge and the essential staples in the kitchen were much appreciated. We will certainly be making a return visit.

This place is top rate! the owners are absolutely lovely and the cottage is wonderfully clean with everything you need to have a lovely get away. The location is very convenient with the cotswolds way right on the doorstep, and some quaint villages. I will definitely be staying again and will be recommending to all of my friends.

Amazing dome, views & hospitality. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We stayed one night in Caroline’s dome, on route to Heathrow from Cornwall. The Dome is set in beautiful surroundings with a nice view over to Wales and Bristol. It was clean inside and more than enough room for 3 of us, and very warm and cosy when we lit wood burner. You can buy logs from Caroline or bring your own. There is an outside (hot) shower and we made use of the gas bbq to cook our dinner. I would note to future guests to make sure you bring oil, salt and pepper for cooking as these things were not included in the dome. As we were travelling onward we did not bring linen or towels so chose to pay the £20 extra for Caroline to provide. Caroline was very friendly and helpful and was more than happy to show our little girl all the farm animals in the morning.

From the time we arrived until the second we left Caroline and Jason looked after us incredibly well. Timberdoodle is an unbelievable experience and getaway. Will definitely be back soon. Wine/Fires/stars/nature - PERFECT... Some great pubs close by as well.

We had a great break at Barn End. The apartment was very clean, stylish and the location was brilliant. It is only a couple of miles from a motorway junction and it is an excellent location for visiting Bath and Bristol, both about 30 minutes and less than an hour from Bristol Airport. We also went to Longleat for a day and this is just over an hour away. Also Avebury standing stones and the adjoining house are worth a visit. The southern cotswolds are also near the apartment with some lovely villages nearby such as Lacock and Castle Combe. We are delighted to recommend this accomodation and hopefully we will be back next year.

Caroline's place is wonderful! The location is absolutely picture postcard perfect!! The nearby vistas are stunning. Lovely walks. Interesting history, beautiful villages. Tons of nearby conveniences... Waitrose, the picturesque high street of Chipping Sodbury closeby. 5 mins from the M4 yet so peaceful and serene.

We had a fabulous time in “The Hall”. Caroline & Jason were perfect hosts and the accommodation was superb!

Caroline and Jason were amazing hosts, very friendly and were happy to assist with any requests we had. The apartment was perfect, finished to an extremely high standard, we couldn’t have picked a better place! The farm itself is lovey and our daughter loved feeding the chickens and looking for any eggs. Highly recommend getting the breakfast box that was offered. Delicious sausages, bread and fruit juice. Bring an ice box if you have one and take advantage of the amazing joints of meat you can buy too, looking forward to trying the pork shoulder we picked up! Thanks again to you both and hope to see you again! P.s. we asked our daughter to rate it out of 10...she gave you 100!
